Yaniv for iPhone · Last updated: 1 October 2026

This page covers the apps made by Hotseat Gaming. Today that is Yaniv, a card game for your iPhone. In short: the app collects nothing about you and sends nothing to me or to any server. Here is exactly what happens.

What the app keeps on your device

The name you enter yourself, your settings (language, card deck, score limit and so on) and your game statistics. This stays on your own device. Delete the app and it is gone.

What is shared with other players

If you play with others on their own devices, the app uses the local network (nearby wifi or Bluetooth) through Apple's Multipeer Connectivity. Your name, your device name and the course of the game are then shared with the other players in that game, and only with them. There is no server in between. Nothing is kept once the game is over.

What I don't do

Feedback

If you choose “Give feedback” in the app, your own mail app opens with a pre-filled message (build number, iOS version and device type). You decide whether to send it. If you do, I receive your email address and what you write, and use it only to reply.

TestFlight

If you test the app through TestFlight, Apple itself collects data about installs and crashes, under Apple's own terms. I only see what Apple passes on to me, and only if you have “Share with App Developers” turned on in TestFlight.
